Ministry service takes many forms at Emmanuel - in our congregation, community and Synod. Camping ministry through our Synod camp, Briarwood, Vacation Bible School at Emmanuel, Confirmation camp, grade school camp and retreats, congregational retreats, Council retreat, etc. Some ministries that we are or have been involved with in our eighteen year history: Project Linus, Hiway Aerobics, People Helping People, Christmas for Children, gifts for San Miguel Hispanic congregation, mission partners to Community of Hope, San Miguel and Messiah Lutheran churches, coins for World Hunger, Habitat for Humanity, Women of the ELCA, Family Pathfinders, classes in Literacy, parenting, CPR, health care, AARP and Coast Guard boat safety, community parent's night out, Brazos River Community Counseling, LSS, living nativity, Braille books, community floats, blood drive, nursing home Bible Study, community day care holiday puppet show, March for Jesus, contemporary worship services, Texas Lutheran University support, active family programs and small group Bible Studies.
